Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This policy explains what information Sooth collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the platform, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign up (directly or through a sign-in provider such as Google or Apple).
- Your engine & trading data — the engines you build, their settings, and the decisions and trades they make on your account (including simulated ones).
- Brokerage credentials — if you choose to connect a real brokerage, the API keys you provide. These are stored encrypted and are only ever decrypted at the moment they are needed to act on your behalf.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical & usage data — basic information such as log and device data needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the platform.
- To run your engines and, if you connect a broker, to place the orders your engine decides on.
- To process subscription payments.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and keep each account isolated from every other account.
- To communicate with you about your account and, if you opt in, alerts you have configured.
3. How we protect it
Each account is isolated from every other account at the database level, so one user can never see or affect another's data. Brokerage keys are encrypted at rest and decrypted only at the moment of use. We follow reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — though no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Sooth, and only as needed to provide the service — for example:
- an authentication provider that manages sign-in;
- a payment processor that handles subscriptions;
- a cloud hosting and database provider that runs the platform;
- a market-data provider for news and prices;
- the brokerage you choose to connect, when you connect one.
These providers are bound to protect your information and use it only to provide their services to us. A current list of the specific providers is available on request. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Sooth and its users.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain it.
6. Your choices & rights
You can review and update your account information, configure or turn off alerts, and delete your account at any time from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; contact us to exercise them.
7. Cookies
Sooth uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use it to track you across other websites.
8. Children
Sooth is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and we will update the date at the top of this page.
